Realme presented its first tablet: on a gaming processor and less than $ 200

A new player has appeared on the tablet market. The Chinese company Realme, which is now called one of the fastest growing mobile brands, decided to compete with Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi and others.

After weeks of leaks and rumors, Realme has finally unveiled its first tablet. The novelty, which has received the laconic name Realme Pad, debuted on Thursday, September 9th. The Realme Pad is a low-cost aluminum tablet with a 10.4-inch display on the outside and a MediaTek Helio G80 gaming processor on the inside. It has up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage, four speakers and two 8MP cameras, one in the front and one in the back. The tablet is powered by a 7,100 mAh battery and runs on the Android 11 mobile operating system with the Realme UI for Pad proprietary shell installed on top, designed specifically for tablets.

  • Rechargeable battery: built-in 7,100 mAh lithium polymer, support for 18W fast charging, reverse charging.

  • Communications: dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, 4G LTE (optional).

The first market to start selling Realme Pad will be India. There it will be available in a week, September 16. Buyers will be able to choose configurations with different amounts of RAM and internal memory, as well as the presence or absence of support for cellular networks. Prices for the Realme Pad start at Rs 13,999 or $ 190 for the 3/32 GB version with Wi-Fi. A model with the same amount of memory, but already with support for Wi-Fi and LTE, is estimated at 15,999 rupees or $ 215. A configuration with 6/64 GB of memory and Wi-Fi with LTE will cost 17,999 rupees or $ 245.
