RealTime Big Data survey for the government of Piauí: Silvio Mendes has 39%; Fonteles, 26%

TV Record/RealTime Big Data poll on the election for the government of Piaui, released this Tuesday (21), shows the former mayor of Teresina Silvio Mendes (União Brasil) with 39% of voting intentions, ahead of Rafael Fonteles (PT), former Secretary of State Finance, with 26%. Elections are scheduled for October.

Following are Major Diego Melo (PL), with 4%; Gessy Fonseca (PSC) and Alessander Mendes (Podemos), 2%; Wallace Miranda (Novo), Ravenna Castro (PMN) and Madalena Nunes (PSOL), 1%; and Venício do Ó (PTB), Gustavo Henrique (Patriota) and Geraldo Carvalho (PSTU), 0%.

As the margin of error is three percentage points, more or less, these candidates appear technically tied.

Blanks and nulls are 11%; 13% say they do not know or have not responded to the survey. RealTime did not simulate second-round scenarios.

1,500 voters were interviewed by telephone between the 18th and 20th of June. The survey was registered with the Electoral Court under code PI-00421/2022. According to the institute, the confidence level of the survey is 95%.

RealTime Big Data also made simulations for the Senate race, which show former governor Wellington Dias (PT), with 38% of voting intentions. Joel Rodrigues (PP), former mayor of Floriano, has 22%, followed by Fábio Sérvio (Podemos), 4%, Professor Ajosé (PMN), 3% and Nel Lopes (PTB), 1%.
