Rebel Wilson gives her opinion on using Ozempic after losing 35kg

Rebel Wilson tried Ozempic for weight loss and shared his impressions about the medicine.

The 44-year-old actress lost around 35kg during what she described as her “Year of Health” in 2020. Although she recently admitted that she faced challenges keeping the weight off due to stress, the star confirmed that she turned to the famous medication, traditionally prescribed to control type 2 diabetes, which has become a favorite among celebrities looking to lose weight.

“Someone like me might have an insatiable appetite for sweets, so I think these drugs might be helpful,” Rebel said in an interview with the British newspaper Sunday Times.

The artist recalled that those closest to her feared that the physical transformation could harm her career.

“Basically, no one other than my mom wanted me to lose weight. People thought I would lose my place in my career, playing the fat and funny character, and they wanted me to continue that”, he lamented.

Rebel was forced to lose weight to undergo in vitro fertilization treatment, which is why she decided to lose weight.

Despite saying that drugs like Ozempic can be good, the star left a warning to young women asking them not to “obsess” and to embrace their appearance, no matter how big or small they are.

“I strongly believe that young women shouldn't try to be obsessed with looking like Victoria's Secret models – they should just look like themselves. I know my relationship with food is complicated,” she highlighted.
