“Rebelde”: third season of the Mexican soap opera arrives on Globoplay

The third season of “Rebelde” arrived on Globoplay, which gradually began making the episodes available from Monday (3). The last part of the students’ story joins the first two seasons of the Mexican soap opera, which began to be made available on the streaming platform due to the shows that RBD did in Brazil in 2023.

The episodes tell the story of the group’s final year of Mia (Anahí), Roberta (Dulce María), Miguel (Alfonso Herrera), Diego (Christopher von Uckermann), Lupita (Maite Perroni) and Giovanni (Christian Chávez) at Elite Way School , portrayed as one of the main boarding schools in the plot. This time, the narrative focuses on a football championship in which Elite Way students compete against other schools.

The last season of “Rebelde” also has romantic conflicts and the struggle faced by RBD members to keep the group alive and united.

Mia and Miguel will have to continue dealing with the figure of Sabrina Guzmán, who is close to Alfonso Herrera’s character. Diego will compete for Roberta’s attention with Xavier and will face his father, Leon Bustamente, to stay in the band. Lupita finds herself torn between Santos and Nico; and Roberta will suffer when she discovers a secret from her mother, Alma Rey.

Christian Chávez comments on the soap opera

Christian Chávez, one of the stars of the soap opera and the RBD group, has been in Brazil since May 22nd and commented on the importance of the plot for his career and personal life.

“’Rebel’ represents the opportunity to connect with millions of people, make my dreams come true and speak to the public. With the character, I learned that you can try to be someone and have people like you, but if you don’t like yourself, no one will love or respect you,” he said.

In the soap opera, the Mexican plays Giovanni Mendes, a student at Elite Way School who is ashamed of the humble origins of his family, which recently became rich, and spends the plot trying to hide his parents. He even goes so far as to change his name — which is actually José — and join a sect that persecutes scholarship students to fit in among the rich people who study at the school.
