The stylist of Keira Knightley worked overtime, March 15th. On Wednesday, Knightley was photographed running up and down New York promoting her latest film, The Boston Strangler, proving that she has no desire to wear the same look twice. The 37-year-old actress was photographed for the first time in a chic Celine three-piece suit, with a white bow tied around her neck, pairing her look with a simple pair of black boots.
For her first quick-change, Knightley showed up at the registration of Live With Kelly and Ryan wearing a suit with oversized skirt by Gucci cream color over a blue oxford dress and black studded heels. According to the stylist’s Instagram story Leith ClarkKnightley paired jewelry by Grainne Morton and Jessica McCormack.
It seems that Knightly left her makeup on all day and opted for a few touch-ups to her loose waves to add some panache. The only thing that really changed, besides her clothes, was her clothes lipstick shadewhich went from a deep red to a nude pink by mid-day.
The next look of Knightley was all about elegance. The actress combined two garments from the Maison Valentine, a gray sweater and a floor-length feather skirt. While the two may not seem like a fitting pair at first glance, Knightley wore them as if they were meant to be together forever. A dainty necklace added some sparkle to the gray ensemble and set her hair up in relaxed waves and a perfect side parting.
Peeking out from the skirt was a pair of black satin Hangisi pumps by Manolo Blahnik, exactly the same ones Carrie Bradshaw wore when she married Mr. The look is classy and perfect for the actress from The Boston Strangler.
Change of clothes number four involved a luxurious one trench coat by Maison Valentino. The oversized piece was decorated with fine feathers, a theme featured in Knightley’s wardrobe. There weren’t many makeup changes, just a refresh of the lipstick with something lighter to give her face a fresh glow. Knightley’s feather dress was completed with a pair of Carel Paris buckled heels.
All of Knightley’s looks are fabulous, but this one in particular is fabulous. The suit Chanel all black was a sheer dream and the polka dot details added an element of fun. The belt around the waist was embellished with silver, to match the top button of the flowy suit and the open pumps followed the silver theme with a thin band of metallic stones around the platform.
An appearance at Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon concluded his press tour in New York for Boston Strangler, and her latest outfit didn’t disappoint expectations. Knightley wore a metallic Simone Rocha midi dress with ruched detailing and puff sleeves. The dress was styled with platform Mary Janes and subtle smokey-eye makeup.
Six outfit changes in 12 hours is an impressive feat, but Knightley’s stylist, Leith Clark, was up to the challenge. Each look highlighted the actress’ timeless elegance and added a playful edge to her style, but left the best for last. After one long busy day with the press, Keira Knightley wore the dress most similar to that of all of us: pajamas.
