Record number of cases for the third day in Argentina – Nearly 23,700 cases of the new coronavirus

For the third day in a row, Argentina recorded a record number of SARS-CoV-2 cases in 24 hours: confirmed 23,683 infections, with a total of 2,473,751, according to data released yesterday Thursday by the Ministry of Health.

Alongside, the deaths of another 290 patients with COVID-19 increased the outbreak of the new coronavirus pandemic in the Latin American country to 57,122 dead to this stage, according to the same source.

In the pandemic province of Buenos Aires, 14,390 cases were confirmed, bringing the total to 1,049,980.

As for the immunization campaign, which started on December 29, 4,879,653 doses of vaccines have been administered, according to official data, as broadcast by AMPE.

The new record was announced the day after the introduction of new restrictive measures in the country by the government of President Alberto Fernandes.
