Almost 1,200 cases of the new coronavirus Cuba recorded a record number in 24 hours.
The Cuban Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that in the previous 24 hours another 7 deaths of patients with COVID-19, while 1,183 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in the laboratory, an unprecedented number.
According to the ministry, the pandemic toll reached 538 dead out of a total of 95,754 infections.
Havana – 554 cases in 24 hours, per capita 365.5 per 100,000 inhabitants – remains the focus of the crisis in the country, as explained by AMPE.
From January, the Cuba faces a new wave of the new coronavirus pandemic, which is difficult to control despite strict measures imposed by the authorities.
