Red Magic 7 Pro received an invisible camera and a unique chip responsible for lighting effects

The Nubia brand, owned by ZTE, has introduced a new series of smartphones for gamers Red Magic 7. The novelties have become even more advanced and productive, and the Pro version has also acquired a special Red Core 1 chip of its own design, which is designed for certain gaming tasks. In addition, this smartphone for the first time in its class received an “invisible” front camera.

In general, the Red Magic 7 Pro received special attention. After all, it is in it that the manufacturer has implemented all its advanced technologies. The device is equipped with an improved ICE 8.0 cooling system with a fan that rotates at a speed of 20 thousand revolutions per minute, but at the same time it makes little noise (28 dB). Naturally, it has RGB lighting. Nubia also decided to add a special “canyon” air duct that connects to the second air intake. This increases airflow by 35% compared to the previous generation of smartphones.

The cooling system adopts a nine-layer structure, which includes a composite phase heat dissipation material, a new heat conduction gel, a vaporization chamber, and a graphite sheet. All this, according to the company, allows you to reduce the temperature of the processor by 16 ºC and ensure stable performance during long gaming sessions. If that’s not enough, users are offered an external Turbo Cooler fan that improves heat dissipation by 17%. And it also has RGB lighting.

The hardware basis of the Red Magic 7 Pro is the rather hot flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Thanks to an efficient cooling system, the device supports high frequencies of the processor and graphics accelerator. The smartphone has a very bright AMOLED display with support for 10-bit color depth and full coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. The screen refresh rate is 120 Hz, and the touch layer is 960 Hz. Using the Red Magic Studio app, you can stream your smartphone screen wirelessly at 120Hz, and via an HDMI and USB-C adapter up to 165Hz. You can also record gameplay in H.264 1080p at 120Hz.

Another feature of the Red Magic 7 Pro is the Red Core 1 chip specially designed for this model to improve the gaming experience. He is responsible for amplifying sound, vibration response and lighting effects. In addition, thanks to the chip, it was possible to reduce the response time of triggers to 7.4 ms. The device runs Red Magic 5.0 based on Android 12 with some options to improve performance.

In addition to the Red Magic 7 Pro, the base model of the smartphone was presented – Red Magic 7, which lacks an under-screen front camera and a Red Core 1 chip. It also has a smaller battery.
