Red Notice is the most watched movie ever on Netflix

It seemed impossible to break the record for Bird Box, Susanne Bier’s film with Sandra Bullock managed to reach 282 million hours of views in four weeks, and, instead, she thought about breaking that threshold Red Notice, the film written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber who, in just eighteen days, managed to reach 328.8 million views, officially becoming the most viewed Netflix film ever. To reveal it is the same platform, which has crowned the trio formed by hands down Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds e Gal Gadot, still in the top ten of the most viewed titles on Netflix in 94 countries.

The story, centered on an FBI profiler (Dwayne Johnson) and the second greatest thief in the world (Ryan Reynolds) joining forces to capture the most wanted art thief in the world (Gal Gadot), has managed to attract spectators thanks to the latest generation special effects and the right balance of irony and action which has now become the trademark of all The Rock films, hugely popular in the States.

The production of a sequel has not yet been formalized from Netflix even if, after such an extraordinary success, it is clear that a second chapter is a must. Also because the ending of Red Notice left open a window that could hardly be ignored by the writers and millions of viewers eager to see the new trio of wonders Johnson-Reynolds-Gadot together again.
