If the Epiphany takes away all the holidays, it certainly won’t take away the prohibitions and restrictions. From 7 January we start to mark on the calendar again, in order not to be mistaken, the color in which the region in which we live will be. Because the future will be a bit like this, an Italy that takes up the system of bands according to the RT of the moment.
The government works to the calendar of new closures from 7 to 15 January to contain infections from Covid-19. In fact, at midnight on January 6th the Christmas Decree will expire and a bridging measure will be needed.
The two hypotheses in the field are that to keep the current measures in force until January 15th, expiry date of the last Dpcm, or to return to the yellow zone for 7 and 8 January, and then move on to the measures of orange band on the weekend of 9 and 10 throughout Italy with the rules foreseen for this color and, subsequently, based on the monitoring, assign the bands for the following week.
In detail, from 7 January and until 15, movement between regions would be allowed only for reasons of necessity.
Among the possible scenarios, then, from mid-January, the hypothesis of a red zone that would trigger on all the pre-holidays and holidays. Also under study, there would be the tightening of the curfew on the model of what is happening in France with the possibility of bringing the time forward from 10 pm to 8 pm
With a further novelty: a “white zone” will probably be introduced from 15 January which will allow all activities to be restarted, including gyms, cinemas and theaters. It was Minister Dario Franceschini who proposed this change “to give new hope to citizens”.
The government would then be considering modifying some of the indicators adopted to decide the system of bands, starting with the “weight” of RT: in essence, si would go into the red zone with 1.25 compared to the current 1.5 e in the orange zone with 1 compared to the current 1.25.
On the government table, there would also be an extension of the ban on hosting more than two relatives or friends at home, children under 14 excluded. The measure, already foreseen in the Christmas decree expiring on January 6, would be postponed until the 15th of the month.
