RedCoffee & Co. opens second unit and takes its specialty coffees to Pinheiros, in São Paulo

Red Coffee & Co. was born to bring the culture of specialty coffees to Alto da Boa Vista , neighborhood in the south zone of the capital. There, since 2019 it has been installed in a beautiful mansion from the 1950s with brick walls and decoration with industrial touches.

Now the brand expands its domains and reaches the neighborhood of Pine trees where it takes over the spot formerly occupied by the Amar.go coffee shop, on the ground floor of a nice little building.

In the new management of the space, under the care of Olympia Valentine at number 120 Rua Francisco Leitão, the menu not only gained items that were already famous at the headquarters, but also preserved some of the recipes of the former tenant.

This is the case with the corn bread made in the house – also sold whole to take away -, the couscous and the vegan banana and semisweet chocolate cakes with coffee. Also maintained was brunch served Saturday and Sunday and consists of two slices of cornbread, eggs, homemade cheese bread, a bowl of yogurt with fruit and juice (R$72.50).

The coffees, the brand’s raison d’être, are chosen by a team of coffee hunters and come from various regions of the country, bringing together all the best in flavor, aroma, body and balance. The weekly roasts, made at the headquarters in the south zone, by the master roaster Lucas Conrado, guarantee the freshness of what is being served.

And the good times accompanied by high-quality drinks can even be extended to each customer’s home, with the sale of high-scoring microlot coffees and super special gift kits.

In tune with the bohemia of Pinheiros, Red Coffee & Co. it also features an elaborate drinks list. There are classics such as Manhattan, Old Fashion and Negroni, as well as authorial suggestions, where preparations with gin stand out.

Dayse (R$ 30) is a version of gin and tonic with pear puree and Sicilian lemon, very fruity and slightly citric. The Pansy (R$ 30), with Sicilian lemon and passion fruit, brings the striking aroma of tonka bean.

Of course, special cocktails with coffee could not be missing. Full-bodied, bitter, sweet and fruity – all at the same time! -, the Red Hat (R$ 34) pleases beginners to the most complex palates. It is composed of bourbon, espresso, Cointreau liqueur, apple tea syrup and dry vermouth. At Rabo de Galo Carijó (R$32), which is signed by bartender Chris Carijó, cachaça, Cynar and red vermouth are added, finished off with a touch of coffee.

And, for those who can’t do without sipping a beer at the sidewalk tables at the end of the day, there’s a long neck for R$15.

RedCoffee & Co.: Rua Francisco Leitão, 120 – Pinheiros / Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 6 pm; Saturday, from 9am to 6pm; and Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm.
