Xiaomi is working on a new Redmi smartphone that will meet the IP68 rating against dust and water, according to information released by the renowned Chinese informant Digital Chat Station.
The source adds that this phone will be equipped with dual stereo speakers and will support 120W fast charging. As a reminder, in August, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 10 JE smartphone, which became the brand’s first phone to comply with IP68 protection. However, it is only sold in Japan.
Presumably, the smartphone will be released under the name Redmi K40 Ultra. There is also a version according to which the smartphone will become a copy of the upcoming flagship Xiaomi 11T Pro.
Earlier, the same source said that the Xiaomi 11T smartphone, which will be presented on world markets on September 15, will later be released in China under the name Redmi K40S. Redmi K40S will be based on the Snapdragon 870 SoC, it will receive a 50-megapixel camera.
Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications and release dates of the Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
