Today, Realme officially launched the mid-range Realme GT Neo 3 smartphone in China. However, this did not stop him from becoming the world’s first mass-produced smartphone with support for 150W charging. If we draw parallels with technical characteristics, then Realme HT Neo 3 is the main rival of the recently introduced Redmi K50. Both of these models are based on the Dimensity 8100 SoC, both are equipped with cameras with optical stabilization, only the Redmi K50 has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 main sensor, and the Realme GT Neo 3 has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 like the flagships. In general, the struggle for the consumer between these models will be serious, and the closest possible prices only contribute to this confrontation.
Realme GT Neo 3 received a 2414 x 1080 pixel OLED screen with a frame rate of 120 Hz and a touch layer polling rate of 360 Hz. The developers claim that the novelty is well suited for games, including due to an additional chip. Its work is described in an interesting way: it “inserts” additional frames in games, due to which it slightly offloads the GPU and reduces the power consumption of the platform. The display has a maximum brightness of 1000 cd/m2 and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space.
Realme GT Neo 3 is represented by two versions of the power subsystem: in the top one – a 4500 mAh battery and support for 150 W ultra-fast charging. The smartphone is charged by 50% in 5 minutes, and fully charged in 15 minutes. The second option for those who want to get maximum autonomy: the battery capacity is 5000 mAh, and the maximum charging power is 80 watts.
The main 50-megapixel sensor of the smartphone is complemented by an 8-megapixel module with an ultra wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel module for macro photography. The front camera of the model is 16-megapixel.
Other features of the Realme GT Neo 3 include an in-display fingerprint scanner, a large cooling system with a 4129 mm2 vapor chamber, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC. The model is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 188 grams. The OS is Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 out of the box.
