Reduction – a record 3.31% of the unemployed in Spain in May

The biggest monthly drop ever recorded in the number of unemployed was recorded in May Spain, as announced today by the Ministry of Labor.

This is the third month of reducing unemployment as the easing of its restrictions COVID-19 gave impetus to the economy.

Data from the ministry, cited by AMPE, showed that the number of registered unemployed in Spain decreased by 3.31% in May from last month, with 3.78 million people out of work.

On an annual basis, there were 1.98% fewer people out of work than last May.

All economic sectors and all regions of Spain reported lower unemployment, with the service sector, which has been hit hard, accounting for most of the decline.

May is traditionally a good month for the Spanish labor market, with many companies hiring staff in anticipation of the summer tourist season.
