As of this Tuesday (20th), the reduction of R$ 0.30 per liter in the price of diesel sold to distributors comes into effect. With this, the value of the fuel will increase from the current R$ 5.19 to R$ 4.89, on average.
The announcement was made by Petrobras on Monday (19). The state-owned company estimates that the consumer will have a reduction of R$ 0.27 per liter sold at the pump, considering the mandatory mixture of 90% diesel A and 10% biodiesel.
According to the statement issued by the company, the cut “follows the evolution of reference prices and is consistent with Petrobras’ pricing practice, which seeks to balance its prices with the market, but without passing on to domestic prices the conjunctural volatility. of quotations and the exchange rate”.
The last reduction in the value of diesel was carried out on August 11, when fuel fell by R$0.22 per liter. The new cut is the third consecutive one announced by the state-owned company.
Last Monday (12), Petrobras also announced a reduction of R$ 0.20 in the value of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), cooking gas, for distributors. As a result, the product was now worth R$4.03 per kilo, not R$4.23.
