Registration for Fies begins this Tuesday (12); find out how to access

Registration for the Student Financing Fund (Fies) begins this Tuesday (12) and runs until Friday (15). The result of the process will be released on Thursday (21).

Fies is a program from the Ministry of Education (MEC), established by law since 2001, which offers places to finance undergraduate courses at private universities with a positive evaluation in the National Higher Education Assessment System (Sinaes).

In 2024, Fies will reserve at least 50% of places for students with a family income of up to half a minimum wage registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico). The initiative is called Fies Social and allows you to finance 100% of educational costs.

How to sign up for Fies

In 2024, Fies will offer 112,168 vacancies. Registrations are only made online, using the Fies Selection system: https://fiesselecaoaluno.mec.gov.br/.

After accessing the website, the candidate must use their Gov.br account to enter the system. Afterwards, the user is redirected to FiesSeleção for authentication.

To fill in the information, you must provide your personal email, names, CPF, birth number and gross monthly income of your family members.

Fies Schedule

  • Registrations: March 12th to 15th
  • Result: March 21st
  • Registration supplement: March 22nd to 26th
  • Pre-selection through waiting list: March 28th to April 30th
