Assessment
To revalidate the diplomas of foreign and Brazilian doctors who graduated abroad, the exam evaluates the skills and knowledge of professionals based on the principles and needs of the Unified Health System (SUS). Composed of two stages, theoretical and practical, Revalida assesses skills in five areas of medicine: internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics and family and community medicine.
In the first stage, theoretical, objective and discursive tests are applied; and, in the second stage, professionals go through ten evaluation stations where they need to comply with an Expected Standard of Procedures (PEP). The entire process is based on the National Curricular Guideline for the Medicine Course and associated regulations, in addition to Brazilian professional legislation.
