Relaxation measures in Sweden for those who have had at least one dose of the vaccine

Restrictions on coronavirus for its citizens will be more relaxed Sweden, most of them older, who have received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine, according to the Public Health Service.

About one-fifth of Swedes have been vaccinated, including all elderly people living in nursing homes, and vaccinations gradually expand to the general population over 60 years, as noted by AMPE.

According to the Swedish authorities, three weeks after the first dose of the vaccine, people can meet with people outside their social “bubble” – even indoors – and the common manifestations in the nursing homes can be repeated. Vaccinated retirees can also go shopping again.

“Now a vaccinated grandmother can hug her grandchildren,” the head of the Public Health Service, Johan Carlson, told reporters.

However, he noted that these changes it is “a slight relaxation” of the constraints and that those who have been vaccinated will not yet be able to live their lives normally in large groups, nor will they be able to stop working remotely when possible.

Sweden has the second highest rate of new cases in Europe after San Marino and authorities warn that it is not the time to ease measures for other population groups.

“To date, not enough people have been vaccinated to make a difference in the pressure on the health system or the spread of the epidemic in general,” said Health Minister Lena Hallengren.

About 2.2 million Swedes out of a population of 10.4 million have received at least one dose of the vaccine. But the vaccination schedule is delayed due to the rate of feeding and concerns about possible side effects of the Astra Zeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

Sweden is among the European countries negotiating the supply of the Russian vaccine with Russia Sputnik V.
