Religious leaders advocate “the predominance of dialogue” for 2022

Religious leaders, invited by CNN, talk about what we can expect for 2022 from a religion perspective. What they all have in common is the perspective of dialogue.

Evangelical pastor André Fernandes said that “2022 will have the same challenges that we faced in previous years, what will change will be the way we position ourselves in relation to them.”

The Catholic priest Tarcisio Mesquita points out that dialogue is what should predominate in 2022.

“What we must emphasize is the path of understanding and Brazil’s return to common sense, which leads us to a democratic and participatory exercise in the diversity that makes up the country.”

Rabbi Dudu Levizon said that it is necessary to fight the coronavirus spiritually. “The message we can bring to humanity regardless of religion is that physical Covid is not in our hands, just to win. Laboratories, doctors, governments have much more access. The spiritual Covid is in our hands. How to overcome fear, paranoia and discrimination.”

Finally, babalaôr Ivanir dos Santos said that we are all close to the creative force and that it does not depend on the period or the hope. “This is the moment when we have to have a dialogue, as shown by this table. A dialogue that respects democracy and the secular state.” Check the dialogue in full.
