Remake of “Vale Tudo”: author hints that she may change the ending of the soap opera

The author Manuela Days implied that could change the ending of the soap opera “Vale Tudo” with a remake confirmed for 2025. The message, without many details, was published on social media on Tuesday night (23).

“[Estou] Open to partnerships, to be transformed by the process and looking forward to choosing ‘Who killed Odete Roitman!’”.

In the original story, written in 1987 by Gilberto Braga, Aguinaldo Silva and Leonor Bassères Odete Roitman (Beatriz Segall) was murdered by the character Leila (Cássia Kis). The mystery remained for much of the soap opera and helped make the story a ratings success.

The remake of “Vale Tudo” will be part of TV Globo’s 60th anniversary celebration, which will take place only in 2025. In addition to Dias as author, the new production will have artistic direction by Paulo Silvestrini, from “Vai na Fé” (2023).

Responsible for the soap opera’s plots “Mother’s love” (2019) and the series “Justice 2” (2024), Manuela Dias also thanked TV Globo for choosing her to lead the project. “Thank you to the management of TV Globo for betting on me for this task”.

Recently, Aguinaldo Silva gave his opinion in an interview about who would be the ideal actress to play Odete Roitman, the main villain of the plot: Cássia Kis.
