The actor Marco Pigossi 35, and his husband, the Italian filmmaker Marco Calvani 43, gave an interview to CNN in March 2024 (watch the video below). On that occasion, the Brazilian recalled how he was proposed to.

“In the last days of filming, he asked me to marry him,” she revealed. The actor starred in the film “High Tide” (2024), directed by Calvani. At the time, they were already in a relationship, which they publicly announced in 2021.

The film’s plot portrays the life of Lourenço, a Brazilian immigrant in Provincetown, Massachusetts, who falls in love with Maurice, an ordinary man who lives in the same town.

The filming of the movie was crucial for the couple’s bond: “We joke that this movie is our first child,” Pigossi told CNN .

“Marco was already writing the script when we met, but the main character became Brazilian because of me. It’s a love story that has everything to do with ours and I’m very proud of this work.”

Pigossi also spoke in the interview with CNN about how he met his husband, through a photograph. “I saw a photo with some friends and noticed a man cutting a pizza with scissors. It was him,” the Brazilian told CNN. CNN . The two were introduced to each other through mutual friends in New York soon after.

The two got married in Tuscany, Italy, last Saturday (31).
