The National Council of Justice (CNJ) launched a form aimed at protecting the community LGBTQIA+ in attendance at police stations and records of incidents of aggression. O CNN Specialist in Diversity Renan Quinalha spoke about it this Saturday (13).
This document will be distributed to judges, investigators, lawyers and delegates so that they can be more careful in dealing with crimes of homophobia, which in 2019 were matched by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to the crime of racism.
“This will certainly not solve all the problems and end the lgbtphobic violence in our country, but it is a fundamental step. If we manage to advance towards an education, a culture focused on diversity, create more police stations specialized in sexual and gender diversity and better train public agents, without a doubt we will reduce these alarming rates present in our country.” , commented on the form.
