ADVANCED. Renault’s industrial plan ensures that its factories in Valladolid and Palencia will be filled until 2030 with hybrid cars and plug-in hybrids.
The visit of the top leadership of the Renault Group to Spain to present the new industrial plan of the French brand could not bring bad news. They are excellent, because they ensure a thousand permanent jobs and an undeclared investment but which could amount to 1,000 million euros, 250 more than what was invested in the previous plan for our country.
The investment means that the Palencia and Valladolid plants will have full production until 2030, with orders for three cars for the first and another, a hybrid, for the second. What’s more, the Seville engine plant will also receive work.
Spain will be a hub for hybrid and plug-in vehicles for Renault, which will manufacture its 100% electric vehicles in northern France.
The estimated value that these investments will generate in Spain is 12 billion of euros.
