The repercussion of the attack on Argentina’s vice president, Cristina Kirchner, by Brazilian authorities, and the visit of Minister Alexandre Moraes to the safe room of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) are among the highlights of this Friday (2).

Brazilian authorities echo the attack on Kirchner

The Itamaraty released a note on Friday afternoon (2) in which it condemns the attack on Argentina’s vice president, Cristina Kirchner.

Entitled “Repudiation of the attack on the Vice President of the Argentine Republic”, it says that “the Brazilian government condemns the unjustifiable act of aggression against the Vice President of the Argentine Republic, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, which took place last night, September 1st. , in Buenos Aires”.

President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) also commented on the case. “I’m sorry. It’s a risk almost everyone takes. I almost died in 2018. I didn’t see the left worrying about me, but that’s okay. Even though I don’t have any sympathy for her, I don’t wish that on her. We have heart, we want good. I regret what happened. I hope the investigation will be carried out to see if it came out of his head or someone, perhaps, had hired him to do that”, he said.

Moraes visits TSE safe room

The president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Alexandre de Moraes, visited this Friday (2) the safe room, where sensitive data of voters are stored, at the headquarters of the Court. The presence was recorded on video.

After participating in the sealing ceremony of the electronic voting machines, Moraes and other authorities digitally and physically signed the documents of the systems that will be used in the elections and deposited them in the safe room, so there are no changes.

TRE-RJ forms majority to deny registration of Silveira’s candidacy

The Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro (TRE-RJ) formed a majority, on the afternoon of this Friday (2), to deny the registration of federal deputy Daniel Silveira (PTB-RJ) as a candidate for the Senate.

There were five votes for rejection, but a judge asked for a view and another court colleague decided to wait for the analysis before making a decision.

Aras says prosecutor is “sabotaged”

The Attorney General of the Republic, Augusto Aras, said in a video published this Friday (02), on the channel he maintains on the internet, that “this prosecutor’s office has become literally sabotaged”. According to Aras, complaints based on newspaper reports “previously planted” or made by “false authors” would be hindering the work of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).

The release of the video comes at a time when the offices of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), and Aras are in shock. The most recent episode was on August 23 and involves the operation of the Federal Police authorized by Moraes against businessmen who would have defended a coup, in a WhatsApp group, in the event of the defeat of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the elections. According to a note from the PGR, the warrants were carried out without Aras’ manifestation.

Ricardo Salles overturns motorcycle

Former Minister of the Environment, Ricardo Salles, was involved in a mess in São Paulo, on Thursday night (1st). After participating in an event at the Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM), the car that Salles was driving was harassed in a student protest outside the university.
