The StatCounter web traffic analysis service has summed up the results of December on the international browser market.

In the ranking of browsers for computers, there have been significant changes. For a long time, the top three looked like this – the dominant Google Chrome, then Safari and Firefox closes the top three.

Recently, however, Firefox has consistently lost users, and the Microsoft Edge browser, which switched to the Chromium engine, has become more and more popular. As a result, as of March 2021, Microsoft Edge gained a share of 8.04% and pushed Firefox to fourth place with 7.97%.
Google Chrome, by the way, recovered from the recent recession and started to increase its share again. Now Google Chrome is installed on 67.09% of PCs in the world. Safari is in second place with 10.13%.
If we consider all devices, including smartphones with tablets and consoles, then Edge was able to bypass the mobile Samsung Internet, but so far lags behind Firefox. The rating now looks like this:
- Chrome — 64,15%;
- Safari – 19,05%;
- Firefox – 3,69%;
- Microsoft Edge – 3,45%;
- Samsung Internet – 3.27%;
- Opera – 2,14%.
