Reports of “group sex” may have led to the death of a journalist in Rio de Janeiro

The Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPRJ) has charged state deputy Renato Machado (PT) with ordering the murder of journalist Robson Giorno in Maricá (RJ). The crime took place in March 2019 and would have been motivated after complaints that the deputy promoted “group sex” in his office at city hall.

The Rio de Janeiro courts have charged state deputy Renato Machado (PT) with the murder of journalist Robson Giorno. In the indictment filed by the Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor’s Office, the deputy appears as the mastermind behind the murder, which is also believed to have involved three other people: Vanessa da Matta Andrade, Rodrigo José Barbosa da Silva and Davi de Souza Esteves.

Journalist Robson Giorno was murdered on March 25, 2019, by order of Congressman Renato Machado, with the help of Vanessa da Matta who mediated the crime with the perpetrators, Rodrigo and Davi. Understand the case .

Report of “group sex” and bribery

The Public Prosecutor’s Office discovered during the investigations that the reason why the deputy had ordered the journalist’s death was because the journalist was extorting the deputy not to expose the practice of “group sex” in the city hall of Maricá (RJ), when Renato Machado was the local city hall’s public works secretary and president of SOMAR.

In the document presented by the MPRJ, it is stated that the extortion involved Vanessa da Matta, Rodrigo José and Davi de Souza, who joined forces to obtain financial advantages given the deputy’s fear of disclosing this information.

In the report, the investigation found that Vanessa da Matta had become pregnant during one of the sex sessions in the city hall office. She is accused of giving the order for the journalist’s murder when Robson refused to share the bribe money with Vanessa, Rodrigo and Davi.

The case points to the union of Congressman Renato Machado with Vanessa, Rodrigo and Davi to execute Robson at the door of his house, in Maricá (RJ). The story was revealed after Davi de Souza Esteves confessed to the authorship and planning of the crime.

Trio responds to other crimes

Vanessa da Matta, known as “Vanessa Alicate”, was the wife of Thiago André Marins, and daughter-in-law of the councilman of Maricá (RJ), Ismael Breve de Marins. In August 2019, about 5 months after the death of journalist Robson Giorno, Vanessa’s husband and father-in-law were found dead.

In the complaint filed by the MPRJ, the names of Vanessa, Rodrigo and Davi appear as those responsible for other homicides.

The complaint highlights an episode involving federal deputy Washington Luiz, who reported on social media that he had been threatened by “Rodrigo Negão”, nicknamed Rodrigo José. The threat allegedly occurred after he demanded that public authorities investigate the journalist’s murders. For the MPRJ, this shows that “the materiality of the crime and the evidence of authorship in the persons accused are present”.

The complaint was accepted by the judge and the defendants were summoned to present a response to the accusation. In addition, precautionary measures were imposed, such as a ban on changing their address, maintaining contact with witnesses and informants, and leaving the state without judicial authorization. The defendants must appear in court whenever summoned.

Other side

THE CNN sought the defense of Congressman Renato Machado (PT), but has not received a response so far. The defenses of Vanessa da Matta Andrade, Rodrigo José Barbosa da Silva and Davi de Souza Esteves were not found in the case records. The space remains open.
