Johnson said he was “working” on the “slow deliberative process”, recognizing with such a close margin that he should “work with each member and hear his concerns and work with them and try to achieve the balance with as many people as possible.”
“It’s running on time and I’m very optimistic,” he said
Scalise said they would meet with President Donald Trump “to finish everything and then we will continue with the vote later.”
He emphasized that House parliamentarians need to keep the bill on the way. “Because there are much more stages in this process. That is, the Senate, of course, needs to do its job. You know, there are other things in the bill, such as the debt ceiling, which have deadlines.”
