The European Commission is launching investigations into the protection of minors from pornographic content under the DSA Digital Services Act. The Commission has initiated official procedures against Pornhub, Stripchat, XNXX and XVIDEOS which are suspected of violations of the Digital Services Act (DSA). Investigations focus on the dangers of minors, including those linked to the absence of effective age verification measures. The Commission found that the platforms did not comply and do not take sufficient measures to prevent minors from accessing their contents. At the same time, Member States of the European Council of Digital Services undertake a coordinated action against smaller pornographic platforms.
