A survey carried out by GA+Intergado, one of the largest livestock technology and management companies in the country, with 2 million cattle, points out that healthy animals that have undergone good health round processes, had a positive performance of more than 1 kilo per day. .
At the same time, the research identified that sick oxen lost, on average, 210 grams per day.
In an interview with CNN the veterinarian and commercial director of the company, Carlos Arantes, commented on the data that show the importance of the farm in identifying health problems.
“Feedyards that use adequate management technology have a mortality rate of 0.35%, well below the national average of 0.6%. It is clear that when we have a team that is well-trained for the correct and early identification of diseases – and that properly collects data and identifies trends –, we can intensify the work of health patrols and adopt a treatment protocol with high technology and high efficiency”, said.
