According to Avito, by the end of 2020, over 2.3 million mobile phones were sold on the platform, which is 16% more than in 2019. The most popular smartphones are iPhone, Samsung and Xiaomi. These brands accounted for about 73% of all sales of mobile phones by Avito in Russia.

The most active buyers in Russia at Avito are iPhones, which account for 45% of all mobile phone sales; over the year, sales of Apple smartphones grew by 19%. In 2020, iPhones were sold on the site for an average of 10,000 rubles, which is 11% more expensive than last year.

In second place is Samsung, which holds a 17% share of all mobile phone sales on Avito in Russia in 2020. Its average price was 6,000 rubles (+ 9% compared to 2019), and the number of phones sold is 11% higher than last year.

The third line is occupied by Xiaomi gadgets, the average price of which remained at the level of 2019 – 6,000 rubles. The share of sales of phones of this brand increased over the year from 9 to 11%, and the number of purchased devices increased by 42%.

The fourth place is occupied by Huawei, whose share in sales increased from 8 to 10% compared to 2019. It is the only one among the leading brands whose smartphones have fallen in price by 21%, to an average of 5,500 rubles.

About 2% of sales are accounted for by Nokia phones (average price of 1,250 rubles, which is 4% less than in 2019), 1% by Sony (on average 3,000 rubles, 14% cheaper than the price of 2019) and another 1% – on Meizu (the cost of devices is on average 3,300 rubles, a decrease in prices by 18% per year). Also in the top ten best-selling brands were Asus, Lenovo and ZTE, but the share of each of them in sales on Avito at the end of the year was less than 1%.

The most expensive are still Vertu phones, which sold for an average of 15,000 rubles in 2020, although their price has dropped by almost 17% since 2019.
