A reserve military police officer was arrested on suspicion of rape of a vulnerable person in Minas Gerais.
The suspect, who was a sub-lieutenant in the PM reserve, had been on the run since August 2023 and was arrested this Wednesday (12) in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais triangle.
According to the police, the man is accused of committing the crimes of rape of a vulnerable person and threat. He took advantage of the trust of victims’ families to commit crimes.
The police officer, treated as “uncle” by the victims, allegedly committed the rapes over seven years with victims in Goiás and the Federal District.
The warrants were issued by the Special Civil and Criminal Court and the Domestic and Family Violence Court against Women of Brazlândia/DF and by the 2nd Criminal Court of the District of Caldas Novas/GO.
The arrest took place during an operation launched by the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (FICCO/MG), the Capture Group of the Uberlândia Federal Police Station (GCAP/DPF/UDI), the Intelligence Area Agency (AA/32º BPM ) and the 200th Mobile Tactical Company of the 32nd Military Police Battalion (200th CIA TM/32nd BPM).
