Residents of Zimbabwe were the victims of the fake crypto platform Amexcyp Market, who promised a profit from investment and trade in bitcoins. To attract attention, fraudsters used advertising on social networks and instant messengers, masking under the popular financial service Innbucks Microbank.

According to The Zimbabwean, AmexCyp Market impersonated the official resource of the Innbucks Investment deposit microfinance service, which works in the country in accordance with the Law on microfinance and has a reserve bank of Zimbabwe.

Fraudsters attracted potential victims through advertising, in particular, Facebook posts, promising investors high profit from automatic trading digital assets. Users registered Through a link in advertising posts provided by the organizer, and made a minimum deposit of $ 50.

After registration, they sent a screenshot of the platform interface to the coordinator of the scheme for confirmation. For her part, the platform promised to trade bitcoins on behalf of and on behalf of users, but instead were assigned to scammers.

After the victims transferred assets for buying bitcoins through the local EcoCash payment system to AmexCyp Market, they completely lost access to their money. Innbucks officially stated that the AmexCyp Market platform, and urged users to check the authenticity of the pages through official channels.
