Resolution of the Turkish National Assembly calls on all countries to end relations with Israel

The Turkish National Assembly, at a plenary session on Friday, approved a resolution referring to “the Israeli occupation in Gaza and the genocide of the Palestinian people”. Through the resolution, all parliaments are invited internationally to stop military and trade relations with Israel and to take actions to lift the embargo on the Palestinians. In the resolution, proposed by the President of the House, Numan Curtulmus, he states, inter alia: “1. We have condemned in the most intense way the practices of occupation, destruction and attachment imposed by Israel on the people of Palestine for decades. 2. We emphasize that the massacres against the Palestinian people and, more recently, the use of famine in Gaza as a weapon of extermination are a genocide crime. 3. We call on the international community to make more efforts to force Israel to accept a permanent truce in Gaza, to withdraw its armed forces from the area, and to ensure the smooth providing humanitarian aid to Gaza.
