Restaurante Vista lands in Jardins under the command of Tuca Mezzomo

Located on the terrace of the São Paulo Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC-USP), the Restaurant view which frames the beautiful landscapes of Ibirapuera Park in front of you, gains even higher floors in 2023.

The novelty is due to the inauguration of the second unit of the house which opens this month, on the 22nd, at the top of the CJ Shops, in Jardins.

With works since January, the new address has a copper-clad wood oven and an environment with the use of a lot of wood and natural lighting. A cellar with capacity for 500 bottles and with a strong participation of Brazilian wineries is also in the plans.

The other novelty concerns the exchange of aprons: tuca mezzomo chef behind the award-winning Puddle , leads the kitchen of the new Vista. In the second half, the chef takes over the menu at the two addresses in the capital.

Responsible for the gastronomic success of the Ibirapuera unit, the chef Marcelo Correa Bastos leaves the scene to dedicate himself to his two other houses, the Jiquitaia and the Wolfzoo . He was even the one who introduced Tuca to the group of partners.

The young chef, who has a strong appeal to the grill and his roots in Rio Grande do Sul, will continue to focus on the Brazilian food that characterizes Vista’s menu, but with an approach that embraces the northeast, center and north of the country more .

“I want to bring a Brazilianness from my point of view, my perspective. We’ll have the Bahian moqueca, the tutu from Minas Gerais. Vista tends to be a more diverse restaurant in terms of taste, which really appeals to all audiences”, defines Tuca.

The bet is that the new unit in Jardins will have a different audience than the original house and receive more residents from the neighborhood, such as the quadrilateral formed by Haddock Lobo, Bela Cintra, Sarandi and Vitório Fasano streets, in addition to attracting people from outside, both from the interior from São Paulo and from other countries.

“We are going to continue with this more authorial Brazilian cuisine, bringing a space for events and a counter of portions to share, having drinks or a sparkling wine”, says Leo Sanchez, co-owner of Vista and places such as Selvagem Ibirapuera and bar Rey Castro.
