Restored, Beatles film “Let It Be” gets official trailer; look

This Tuesday (30), the Disney+ released the official trailer for “Let It Be” , Beatles movie what it was released in 1970 and which will be restored and made available on streaming. Scheduled to premiere on May 8, it will be the first time the production has been available in more than 50 years.

Released amidst the turmoil of the band's breakup, the film will be fully restored and will feature images not presented in the documentary series “Get Back”, released in 2021 on Disney+.

Through the film, fans will be able to follow the quartet on the roof of Apple Corps, where they last performed together, and in the studio, as the Beatles write and record their Grammy-winning album, “Let it Be.” It is also worth mentioning that the song that bears the name of the album also won the Best Original Song category at the Oscars in 1971.

The restoration work is carried out by Peter Jackson, who was also responsible for “The Beatles: Get Back”. Having debuted on Disney+ in 2021, the docuseries showcases the affection and friendship of the iconic quartet, capturing a pivotal moment in music history.

“Let It Be”, directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, is starred by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison It is Ringo Starrwith the special participation of Billy Preston. The film was produced by Neil Aspinall with the Beatles serving as executive producers. The photography direction was Anthony B Richmond.
