The German retail sales fell 2.2% in September’s monthly reading after growing 3.1% in August. The result worsens the 0.8% decline expected by experts and represents the largest decline seen since last April.
At the annual level, the indicator grew 6.5%, above the 3.7% of the previous month, and slightly below the estimated 6.6%. The reading is the highest since last June, when it rose 6.7%.
