The annual indicator has grown by 7.2%, surpassing the expected 3.5% and the previous -3.6% (revised from -3.7%), registering its highest increase since October 2016.
Excluding fuel, retail sales are up 4.9% monthly, improving from 2.5% in February and the estimated 1.9%. Year-on-year, the indicator has increased 7.9% compared to the 4.5% consensus and -1% previously.
