Return to face-to-face work exposes differences between companies and employees

A recent survey by a recruitment website found that 42% of Brazilians would like to work alternating days at home and at the office. But other research indicates that employees and executives differ on what the work routine should be like in the post-Covid-19 pandemic.

Last week, a message attributed to billionaire Elon Musk said that “remote work is no longer acceptable”. The owner of electric car maker Tesla did not confirm the content of the message, but said that company employees who advocate the practice of working from home “should pretend to work elsewhere”.

In this episode of E Tem Mais, Carol Nogueira presents a balance of the different views of companies and workers on the return to face-to-face activities after the reduction of restrictions imposed by the pandemic. To describe the challenges companies face in dealing with the demands for a more flexible work environment, this episode includes strategy and leadership professor Paul Ferreira, from FGV, and labor lawyer Henrique Melo, from the NHM office.
