Turkey and Egypt are making an effort to normalize relations, starting exploratory contacts.
Relations between the two countries are strained after the overthrow of the President of the Muslim Community, Mohamed Morsi, and the assumption of power by him Abdel Fattah Sisi, which o Erdogan has called in the past “Tyrant”.

The two men will explore the possibility of taking joint measures that could lead to the normalization of relations between Cairo and Ankara.
