Two separate convoys carrying military equipment and not wearing insignia are moving towards the city of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine via different roads, in the opposite direction to the Russian border, according to a Reuters reporter.
One convoy includes nine tanks and an infantry fighting vehicle, while the second consists of trucks and fuel tankers, according to the journalist, who is within the territory of the two Russian-backed autonomous regions whose independence has been recognized by the Moscow on Monday.
Earlier on Wednesday, Kiev declared a state of emergency in Ukraine and called on Ukrainians in Russia to leave Russian territory, while Moscow began evacuating its embassy in Kiev and its environs. the rest of its diplomatic missions in the country, moves considered by the Ukrainians as the last sign of an impending generalized Russian invasion.
