The Internal Revenue Service announced this Thursday (24) the rules of the 2022 Income Tax Declaration Generator Program. The deadline for delivery starts on March 7 and runs until April 29.
For this year, 34.1 million returns are expected, a number close to the 34,168,569 received in 2021. All Brazilians with taxable income above R$ 28,559.70 will be required to declare the IRPF 2022, the same amount as last year.
Those with exempt, non-taxable or exclusively taxed income above R$ 40,000.00 must also declare the Income Tax this year. Included in the list still residing in Brazil:
- with capital gain on the disposal of assets or rights, subject to tax in 2021;
- who carried out operations on stock, commodity, futures and similar exchanges;
- who were exempt from capital gain tax on the sale of residential properties, followed by the acquisition of another residential property within 180 days;
- with possession or ownership of assets or rights, including bare land, with a total value of more than BRL 300 thousand, until December 31, 2021;
- with gross revenue in excess of R$142,798.50 in rural activities until December 31, 2021;
- who want to compensate, in 2021 or following years, for losses from rural activity from 2021 or previous years;
- those who became resident in Brazil in any month and were in that condition on December 31.
According to the schedule released, there will be five batches of refunds, the first being released on May 31. The others will be released respectively on June 30, July 29, August 31 and, finally, on September 30.
The sooner the taxpayer renders accounts to the Lion, the sooner the refund will enter the account of those who have amounts receivable. In addition, advanced consumers reduce the risk of falling into the thin mesh and get rid of any possible suffocation of leaving the obligation to the last minute.
In update.
