Revolutionary Guards threaten Israel with ‘high price’ for Gaza shelling

The commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said today that Israel will pay a heavy price for its latest attacks against Palestinians in Gaza, Reuters reported, citing Iranian state television.

“The Israelis will pay yet another heavy price for their recent crime,” Lt. Gen. Hossein Salami said, referring to Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, as he met with Islamic Jihad leader Ziad al-Nakhla, who is in Iran.

On Saturday, Israeli jets struck Gaza and Palestinians fired rockets at Israel after Israel’s operation against the Islamic Jihad militant group ended more than a year of relative calm along the border.
