Reynaldo Gianecchini is confirmed in the cast of “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”

Reynaldo Gianecchini was confirmed, this Tuesday (20), in the cast of the national production of the musical show “Priscilla, the Queen of the Desert”.

In addition to the star of “Laços de Família”, the cast also includes Diego Martins, who played Kelvin in “Land and Paixão”, Verónica Vallentino and Wallie Ruy. Gianecchini will play Mitzi/Tick, one of the protagonists of the story.

The musical is an adaptation of the Australian film of the same name, released in 1994. The production had Hugo Weaving in the role that will be played by the actor from “Good Morning, Verônica”.

“Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” tells the story of two drag queens and a transsexual hired to do a show at a resort in the city of Alice Springs, in the middle of the Australian desert. The trio crosses the desert on a trip aboard Priscilla, the bus that drives the group.

The film's soundtrack featured hits such as “I Will Survive”, “One Way Or Another”, “Go West” and “Mamma Mia”.

The national version of the musical premieres on June 7th, at Teatro Bradesco in São Paulo. Tickets go on sale on Monday (26).
