Even at the time of the official announcement of the new generation Sony game console, it became clear that the console will be in demand among customization fans – the side panels of the PlayStation 5 are easy enough to remove and replace with other, unique ones. Soon, third-party companies appeared that offered their panels with different patterns, but Sony scared all manufacturers with legal proceedings, and for good reason – today, December 13, the manufacturer officially presented its own replacement panels for the PlayStation 5, which can be bought from retailers and in several actions to transform the console.
At the moment, the company has presented only five color options – black, pink, purple, blue and red. That is, together with the original panel, there are six colors to choose from (the console is sold with white panels). True, so far we are talking only about monotonous panels without additional drawings, patterns and other decorative elements, and the cost of one such set of two panels (left and right) is 55 dollars. In addition, Sony has announced three additional colors for its DualSense gamepad so potential buyers can purchase a replacement panel and gamepad to match the console’s color.
Now the DualSense gamepad can also be bought in pink, blue or purple – the Japanese giant previously introduced black and red colors, so that in the end we get six color schemes (taking into account the classic white gamepad). The cost of DualSense in the new color is $ 75, but, unfortunately, so far the manufacturer has not announced the price for Russia (as well as for replaceable panels). This is probably due to the fact that the new items will go on sale in the first half of 2022 in 22 countries around the world, but Russia was not included in this list. Accordingly, replaceable panels and new colors of gamepads should hit the Russian market in the second half of next year.
