Rihanna: here is the first Fenty collection (and the first jockstraps) for Pride Month

When it comes to inclusion and diversity, Rihanna has taught great lessons since she launched her lingerie brand in 2018 Savage x Fenty: not only the artist has given life to a new show format to present its new collections, but it has always ensured that each of them, as well as the advertising campaigns, were animated by very different bodies, gender identities and ethnicities. A choice that made Rihanna’s brand a huge success, picking up just a few months ago well 115 million dollars of funds for further expansion in retail.

But it doesn’t stop there, because Savage x Fenty has just presented its premiere as well collection on the occasion of Pride Month.

Considering the philosophy behind the brand, it was only a matter of time before Rihanna dedicated an entire collection of LGBTQ + pride, and it did not do so only through a campaign with the likes of Gigi Goode, Yusef Williams and Dexter Mayfield: the underwear line in fact contains boxers, bralettes, bras, suspenders and, for the first time, even suspenders which, like any other product, are labeled as all gender. All from extremely democratic prices, from $ 16.95 to $ 69.95.

Furthermore, as part of the collection, the brand is contributing with a fixed donation of 250 thousand dollars to be distributed among five organizations that support the battles of LGBTQ + communities, in collaboration with the Clara Lionel Foundation di Rihanna: The Audre Lorde Project, The Caribbean Equality Project, INC., GLADD e Trans Latin@ Coalition & Wellness Center. As we could have expected, the range of sizes available is also extremely wide, starting from XS and arriving at 3X, and again from 30A to 42H for bras sizes. Rihanna’s isn’t just an opportunity to enrich one narrative that still has – an enormous – need for variety, but also a new step forward for the fashion industry which, in all likelihood (and fingers crossed), will inspire many other brands.
