Rio 2024 Festival will show documentary by Mujica and more; see list

THE Rio Festival 2024 announced the selection of films that will be part of the Latin Premiere a parallel exhibition of the event. In total, the exhibition will display 17 titles from countries like Argentina , Brazil , Chile , Colombia , Costa Rica , Mexico and others.

Among the main highlights are “Memories of a Burning Body “, from Antonella Sudasassi chosen to represent Costa Rica in Best International Film at the 2025 Oscars; and “Pepe’s Dreams “, by Pablo Trobo, first part of a trilogy about Pepe Mujica .

The Rio 2024 Festival will take place from October 3rd to 13th in the capital of Rio de Janeiro . The event is known for presenting, first-hand in Brazil, acclaimed films from the main international festivals, such as Cannes and Venice.
