THE Rio Book Biennial 2025 will have a space dedicated to Artists Alley again, so that the public can get in touch with illustrators, scriptwriters and comic artists exhibiting their products during the event.
The Rio Book Biennial takes place from June 13th to 22nd, 2025.
The 2023 edition already featured Artists Alley, but this year the space should occupy an area of 300 square meters at the event, to accommodate 32 artists presenting their work.
It will be curated by journalist Sidney Gusman, a specialist in this universe and winner of the HQ Mix Trophy for seven consecutive years as best journalist specializing in comics. Gusman is also editor-in-chief of Universo HQ and, since 2006, he has been the editor of all Mauricio de Sousa Produções books.
“We have a lot of affection for this space because many of the readers begin their experience by venturing into comic books. Therefore, we are very excited about another edition that will feature Artists Alley”, said, in a statement, the director of GL events Exhibitions, Tatiana Zaccaro, organizer of the Biennale in partnership with the National Union of Book Editors (SNEL).
