The Voltage – CCBB

There are 17 impressive works and experiences on display until March 7, at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, in the exhibition “A Tensão”.

Cagarras Islands Exhibition – Santos Dumont Airport

Up until February 20th, Santos Dumont Airport, in the central region of Rio de Janeiro, hosts the exhibition “Nas Asas da Ciência – a flight through the Cagarras Islands”. There, passengers and visitors will learn more about one of the most emblematic Conservation Units in Rio de Janeiro, the Natural Monument of Cagarras Islands (MONA Cagarras).

The exhibition has about 50 specimens of different species and zoological groups from the Didactic-Scientific Collection of the Teaching Assistance Section of the National Museum/UFRJ, such as crabs, shells, corals, sponges and starfish. Models of archaeological artifacts are also presented, such as polished stone axes and ceramics, which record the Tupiguarani indigenous presence in the place since the 15th century. Texts, photos, videos, maps, models and an interactive panel are part of the free exhibition.

Casa Verão Rio – Casa de Cultura Laura Alvim

A schedule full of pocket shows, theater, cinema, games and children’s activities is available until January 20 at Casa de Cultura Laura Alvim, in Ipanema. The “Casa Verão Rio” is free and available to the public seven days a week, from 2pm to 10pm.

Highlight for the 18th, when the space will receive a pocket show, voice and guitar, by singer Nando Reis. In addition to him, Ana Cañas, Paulinho Mosca, Evandro Mesquita, among others, are also part of the grid, which can be checked at this link.

Amazon Times – Museum of Tomorrow

On display since December 17 at the Museum of Tomorrow, the exhibition “Fruits – Amazonian Times” presents the grandeur and knowledge present in the largest tropical biome in the world. It takes place in seven themed areas of the museum. The sections address topics such as fauna, flora, peoples and culture, offering information about the daily lives of local populations, their traditions and the multiple languages ​​used.

The visitor will be able to feel part of the forest from the setting, which will bring interactive activities, elements that reveal the diversity of the Amazon and the sound atmosphere of the region.

Also dealing with current problems, such as illegal mining and land grabbing, the exhibition aims to encourage the public to reflect on ways to engage in a development model that preserves the forest standing, mainly through the union of science and traditional knowledge. Cinderella, O Musical – Village Mall

A special tip for parents looking for programming with the kids: The Superproduction “Cinderella, O Musical” returned to Rio de Janeiro this month. With Fabi Bang in the title role and 20 more actors in the cast, it will be playing at the Shopping Village Mall theater until February 20th. The play has already been seen by more than 250,000 people in its previous productions.

The version has visual effects and special moments. According to the production, the most impactful scene is when the Fairy Godmother leaves the princess ready for the ball, literally, by magic.

A Bela e A Fera Experience

This experience will be special to kids and also to adults who are Disney fans. A part of the parking lot at Via Parque Shopping, in Barra da Tijuca, is the stage for the construction of a themed castle from the movie “Beauty and the Beast”. There are 1,500 m² of space all decorated in honor of the film.

After the reception at the castle entrance, visitors are invited to the royal ball, which takes place inside the main hall. After taking their seats, a prepared menu is offered with the day’s options – all this by actors already characterized as “royal employees”.

With the audience in a special format for the meal, the presentations tell the classic Disney story. There are dozens of artists who present a show with lots of music, dance, theater and illusionism, in addition to visual and olfactory special effects.
