Between November 12th and 15th, 23 tents set up at Arena Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro, will present flavors from different chefs and restaurants in Rio de Janeiro. And the 2nd edition of Degusta Tijuca, which will also have a live soundtrack by jazz bands, bossa nova and black music.
The event takes place in an area of 2,200m² on Uruguay Street, between Conde de Bonfim Street and Maracanã Avenue, and traffic will be partially interrupted.
Among the participants, the chef Rafa Ramos, from the Mestre do Sabor program, and its roasts and smoked in the pit smoker style barbecue, in addition to the States of Largo da Prainha, which will offer snacks from Casa Porto and Bafo da Prainha, the current sensation of the port region that docks on Tijucan soil.
This journey through different flavors also includes ceviches from Lima Peruvian Cuisine; the acarajés of Palm Smell, by Rosa Perdigão from Bahia; and Brazilian food from the Warm from Nêga, by Barbara dos Santos. The hamburgers are in charge of the HOB Burger; a Wursteria with homemade hot dogs; it’s the pig spirit prepares its porchetta sandwiches à pururuca.
For drinking, beer stations on the Eisenbahn, a wine stand and bartenders preparing drinks from the renowned cachaçaria in Rio de Janeiro 7 gadgets.
The second edition of Degusta Tijuca is created by the restaurateur and cultural producer Otto Grunewald, in front of the traditional restaurant Otto, curated by journalist Pedro Landim, an expert in gastronomy.
“We are inaugurating a new phase in which the Degusta event will become itinerant to visit several neighborhoods in Rio, from the north to the south, in partnership with the respective gastronomic centers, contemplating flavors from all regions”, says Otto.
And journalist Pedro Landim, gastronomy curator at the event, adds: “We have brought together a team of flavors that complement each other, forming a comprehensive and representative menu of what we can call popular Rio food. There is a legitimate desire among the public to return to the streets, fundamental spaces for the revitalization of the city, and the stage in Tijuca is wonderful, a storehouse of great flavors, stories and characters”.
