THE Rio Festival announced this Tuesday (3) the complete selection of national films that will be part of the Premiere Brazil 2024 exhibition dedicated to Brazilian works.
Highlights include “Baby “, of Marcelo Caetano selected for the 63rd Film Critics’ Week Cannes and “Apocalypse in the Tropics “, the new documentary by Petra Costa nominated for an Oscar in 2020 for “Democracy in Vertigo “.
In its 26th edition, this year’s Rio Festival will be held in October 3rd to 13th in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, in several cinemas spread throughout the city. The event is known for showing renowned films from major international festivals, such as Cannes, Venice and Toronto, for the first time in Brazil.
The full schedule for the Rio 2024 Festival, including film screening times and locations, will be announced later on social media and on official event website.
